Complete platform rebuild
Scenario
Empatico connects K-12 classrooms worldwide through live video exchanges and educator tools. The original Ruby on Rails + React stack had become difficult to scale — outdated libraries, non-performant jobs, and accumulated technical debt from years of ad-hoc changes.
Solution
We rebuilt Empatico 2.0 from scratch on Laravel and React, redesigned the AWS architecture with Terraform (IaC), and launched in six months with all existing features reimplemented plus major new capabilities.

We also cleaned up legacy AWS services and built a scalable multi-environment deployment pipeline. Empatico 2.0 followed our full software development lifecycle.
Next moves
We're currently applying Empatico's Empathy Framework — promoting emotional, cognitive, and behavioral empathy across intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intergroup settings, grounded in research from education, psychology, and communication science.
